Instructions to Authors Regarding Final Revisions

Since your paper has successfully completed the peer review process and you are submitting your final revision to the Associate Editor and Journal Editor, we request that you do the following:

  1. Review the Instructions for Authors (also available in the hard copy, Issue 1 of the current year) to confirm that you have followed these instructions. In particular, check the requirements for the references (double spaced), figures, and title page. Failure to do so will result in your manuscript being returned by the journal editor's office for additional editing before it is submitted to the managing editor.
  2. Include the first names of all of the authors on the title page. In addition, complete contact (address, telephone, fax, and e-mail) information must be provided for all coauthors.
  3. Send two printed, double-spaced copies of the final version of your paper including all text, tables and figures to

The manuscript copy must be in a single Microsoft Word file with the text followed by the tables and then the figures. Do not embed Excel files in the Word file. Figures should be sent as camera-ready copies. Do not use dot or half-tone-type screens, including grey tones, on your figures. It is helpful if these figures are printed at approximately their published size: 1 column: 84 mm wide; 2 columns: 177 mm wide. Use a laser printer and good quality, white paper. Duplicate copies must be provided for color figures. For photographs, only one copy on glossy paper is required.
  4. Include a copy of your final manuscript on a computer disk. It is important that the disk version of your paper is identical to the printed version. The typesetter will format it in the style necessary for production. Figures are scanned by the typesetter from the hard copy or photographs. For figures which may not scan in well (e.g., color figures), electronic files should be provided. Specifically, one graphic file per figure (labeled by manuscript and figure number) should be included as TIFF or EPS files and must be of 300 DPI (dots per inch) or greater resolution.
  5. Prepare a web release for inclusion with your final package. Please review the Instructions for the Preparation of a Web Release. Web releases should be submitted as a printed and separate diskette copy, which will be submitted to the Outreach Committee. Web releases may also be submitted electronically to the journal editor at editor@iaglr.org.
