IAGLR 2017 poster awards

Congratulations to the recipients of the special poster awards at IAGLR 2017!

  • Winner of the Graphic Design Award is Marissa Wegher (Lakehead University) for her poster titled Understanding spatial variation in food web connectivity within Lake Superior. This award recognizes effective and artistic design for conveying scientific information.
  • Winner of the Information Impact Award is Elizabeth Dayton (Ohio State University) for her poster titled Trends in Ohio agricultural soil phosphorus levels. This award recognizes best use of minimal and informative text to convey a clear message.
  • Winner of the Science Communication Award is Igor Mrdjen (Ohio State University) for his poster titled Evaluation of Cyanobacteria and their toxins in a two-staged model of Hepatocarcinogenesis. This award recognizes effective science translation to both scientific and public audiences.
  • Winner of the People's Choice Award is Corey Krabbenhoft (Wayne State University) for her poster titled Native community dynamics and round goby invasion in Great Lakes tributaries. This award recognizes the most popular poster as voted by session attendees.

These awards were given in addition to the IAGLR Best Student Poster Award to recognize great posters.
