Partners

IAGLR works with the following organizations to advance science and connect it with policy, business, and community interests.

ACCESS+
ACCESS+ is an NSF ADVANCE partnership grant-funded initiative that seeks to extend the breadth and number of STEM professional societies engaged in addressing disciplinary diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). ACCESS+ seeks to accelerate the awareness, adoption, and adaptation of evidence-based, gender-related, DEI policies, practices, and programs within and across STEM professional societies.

Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies
Member organizations of the Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies (CASS) share an interest in aquatic resources. Collectively they represent professionals who combine deep subject-matter expertise, a commitment to independent objectivity, and the critical review of environmental information, along with a passion for the natural places and resources that form the foundation of safe and productive ecosystems and economies. Through its members, CASS works to cohesively present the best available science surrounding aquatic resources, including at joint conferences, as well as participate in science-based discussions on the public policy issues that affect these resources.

Council of Scientific Society Presidents
Founded in 1973, the Council of Scientific Society Presidents (CSSP) has served as a center for national science leadership development, a strong voice in support of science in the nation’s capital, and the premier forum for national science policy development through open, substantive exchanges on current issues encompassing the full spectrum of science, engineering, and mathematics.

Partnership Group for Science and Engineering
The Partnership Group for Science and Engineering (PAGSE) is a network of more than 20 science and engineering societies across Canada with a mandate to educate and inform senior elected officials and policy makers on science and engineering research. Founded in 1995, its two key programs are the Bacon and Eggheads breakfast series through which they bring a leading academic to Parliament Hill in Ottawa to give a talk on their research and address questions from members of Parliament and senators on the policy implications. They also publish SciEng Pages, short briefs that summarize the state of knowledge and global policy landscapes around particular topics. The Great Lakes are critical to North America and we look forward to working together to help educate and remind Canadian leaders of their importance.

Great Lakes Benefactors

Our Great Lakes Benefactors value large lake research and demonstrate their commitment to IAGLR through a significant annual contribution. They receive multiple benefits for this commitment. We work with our benefactors to carry out work of mutual interest to benefit science the world's large lakes.
